Elon Musk founded SpaceX
Elon Musk is the man behind SpaceX, a rocket company that will launch humans to Mars and back. His ambition is to make space travel affordable for the general public. He also founded PayPal and Zip2, both of which became very successful. In 2002, the pair sold these companies for around $2 billion, and Elon founded SpaceX shortly thereafter.
Company develops rockets
Space exploration technologies corp develops rockets and spacecraft for human and commercial uses. The company has a long list of achievements, including flying seven missions to the International Space Station (ISS) under a cargo resupply contract. It also won a NASA contract to develop a human-rated Dragon capsule. SpaceX also has lofty ambitions, including reusing rocket hardware. For instance, it has contracted a Louisiana shipyard to build a floating landing platform with a 90-square-metre landing pad that can be positioned with precision.
Company contracts with national space agencies
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has awarded multiple contracts to companies that are developing technology for use in space missions. These contracts include providing hardware and software for use on the International Space Station (ISS). They also include contracts to provide engineering and science products and services. Several of these contracts also include space-related services such as cybersecurit Exploration y.
Annual report
The Space exploration technologies corp. released its annual report to the public on January 16. The report is a detailed look at how the agency is doing in achieving its mission and future aspirations. It also provides recommendations for the space agency. The report was based on the findings of a panel of experts that met quarterly and examined the organization’s operations. It also highlights the need for a clear vision of the agency’s future.
Value
The biggest driver of SpaceX’s valuation is its satellite-based internet business, Starlink. The service is currently in beta testing and has a large addressable market. It is currently available in the northern United States, Canada, and parts of Europe. Beta customers pay $99 a month for the service and must purchase a $500 satellite dish upfront. It claims speeds of up to 150 Megabits per second.
